I suggest you take your dog on a tour of the kitchen and see what he likes. You can use almost any food (no chocolate). The food treat should be no larger than a Cheerio or half a peanut for a medium sized dog. Toys can be used, but can slow training. Vary treats often and use the treats your dog likes best in very distracting places.
